For the design of Reptile, creators wanted to give him an image reflecting his more primal side.
"We looked forward to designing Reptile. With all the possible reptilian elements the character could possess, it gave us a huge amount of ideas to explore. We began pursuing a more primal-influenced look, featuring bones as a main element of the look. His vicious nature makes this pairing feel right."

It was during the same stream that we learned Jade will not be returning to the roster in Mortal Kombat X. However, Ermac will be, and it looks like a few other classic characters will also make a return.

In all honesty, I never messed with Reptile in MK9 and probably won't here. Waiting on that Mileena reveal. Other than her, Raiden and Kitana look like day ones

Wished they would've let somebody showcase the characters that can actually fight. Them dudes they had fighting with kitana and reptile was 
I am but I try not to pick characters everyone else is playing, and you know he will be popular. I'll learn him to know the matchup but that's it. Learned Superman and all his bullshyt but only played him against you.surprised you not into KL?

Who's everybody plannin' to use on Day 1? I know I'm labbin' Commando Kano and Warlock Quan Chi. If I get Cyrax or maybe that Erron Black dude gets announce they goin on the team as well
