I get bored doing other jobs especially mundane factory work,call centers make me wanna start the purge I have 1 yr left before I get criminal justice degree and head to law school

My pops was a Sheriff / CO for 30 years starting back in the day when it was the wild west and through the 00's when everything was paperwork.

Him and his friends used to have the wildest stories. And cause he worked at the County Jail, there would be plenty of times he'd get recognized in the streets when I was little. But my pops is super laid back and no nonsense, so people would mostly be excited to let him know they got their sh1t together. My dad always looked out for people from the neighborhood too during processing when he worked that area for about 10 years. So weirdly enough, when chicago was really a mess in the 90's the OG's in our hood would keep me out of stuff cause they respected my pops. It was always just a job for him, but some of his work friends enjoyed being a$$holes.

bruh it's the truth admin don't give a fukk about us,that's how officers get Stockholm syndrome ,when you a decent officer,they actually look out for you,work a building long enough, you get to know everyone,their story,mood swings e.t.c

sitting here in hr 23 of my shift, we're so short staffed they're calling other prisons for help. the holidays suck in corrections,we've had 17 suicide attempts/mutilations in the last week
officers quitting cause of being overworked.christmas packages came out so its been fights everyday all day

extra busy this time of year, multiple suicide attempts,holidays are the worst,we've had beaucoup staff quit so we're running skeleton crew
inmate gets out next month, decides to swallow belt buckles and put broken razors in his butt to keep himself from having sex with men,he's shytting blood and constantly throwing up plus he's on 4 point restraint to keep him from further harming himself
officer got stabbed Monday by a rasta because he refused to warm up his coffee after lockdown
aryans are beefing with each other because the packages that was supposed to be thrown over the fence got caught so money got f'd off
the facility gang investigator is dirty and stole 10 stacks from the vice lords and there was a ledger book with fees owed as well as hits authorized that's grown legs.
we keep hiring extremely young officers that haven't worked anywhere and they get scared and compromised because they think itll keep them safe when shyt pop off

had to break up a fight between cellmates because one keeps gunning on female officers and he walks around the cell naked
had to respond to a call because an officer caught inmates having a man orgy
nurses are selling needles with narcotics in em to inmates but the needles are getting shared and the inmates use the needles to stick officers with shot
a female officer got her drink drugged with meth and suboxone
