false. its a great game. came out extremely late last generation. 5 months before the quad dropped. GTAV came out so of course everyone put time into that. a ton of people haven't touched the dlc since it dropped after the quad. all it says is that people want to see that greatness and play it on current gen. not like its halo 2... been out for years and been played to death....
:mjpls:
yup another point too. gta v came out like three months later and then about two months later next gen consoles dropped. Plenty of people were hoping they'd port tlou over to ps4. it's like a goty edition basically. You get the base game, all the dlc and it's now with upgraded visuals and performance and that's not worth it?[DOUBLEPOST=1397399617][/DOUBLEPOST]
extremely late? that game came out before the rush to trade in old systems for the new ones. pretty much anybody that wanted to play The Last of Us has played it. Halo 2 was an Xbox game and came out damn near 10 years ago. there's a legitimate chance people missed it because they never had an Xbox.

I haven't played the DLC on The Last of Us either and not really interested in paying full retail to get a game I beat last summer to play it either. The Last of Us is the same as Tomb Raider. they know that buyers are starving for games so they're porting recent console releases of less than a year ago to the new generation and people will double dip on the games.
why are you ignoring the mass amount of people who were primarily 360 gamers now on ps4? Tomb raider was on THREE platforms of which the pc version was already going for sale at $10 and looks arguably the same as the definitive edition.. That game really didn't need a remake. Cool, you're voting with your wallet so cheers to you. i just find it funny that's your stance when you went out and bought the tr remake when you already had the pc version..
I'm not saying there is no need for a halo 2 remake though to be clear.[DOUBLEPOST=1397399807][/DOUBLEPOST]
I don't even think halo would make any sense since the same company is releasing destiny for ps4 and I've heard that destiny is exactly like halo but it's a fresh start .
destiny is not the same as halo.

5 months before the next gen drops isn't extremely late?? lol. ok. I'm the only one of my friends that bought the last of us. I hyped it to death, but my peoples were like yo the ps4 is coming out in a few months. not everyone is hardcore and have that got to play everything attitude. tlou was true exclusive to playstation. there is more of a legitimate chance people missed out on it entirely over the halo 2. lol. but if you feel otherwise.... :yeshrug:

that game sold over 6 million copies just a year ago yet so many people missed it? i'm sure a mass exodus of people were dumping their PS3s off back in June many months before the PS4 hit. that's a critically acclaimed game of the year that was just released a year ago. a hell of a lot of people have played it. i'd wager the double dippers will be in higher number than the Xbox converts that missed it.

Halo 2 is still a 10 year old game from two console generations ago and the Last of Us really isn't even a year old yet.

you bought tr remake full price, less than a year after it launched while simultaneously owning the pc version, I'm finding it hard to take your point seriously, no offense. oh and I'm sure there's more than 6 million gamers who haven't played tlou yet. tlou is coming in summer, by then it'll be a year old. i better not see you talking about you copped it when it launches .

gears of war sold ~6 million copies and i never played it, don't see your point. plus a lot of people, like myself, thought last of us should have came out as a ps4 exclusive. now i get a chance to play the game the way it was intended w/o hardware restrictions.

i won't wager or assume anything, but I do know people.. not know of or know that.. actually know people who will cop who have never played it. those who felt like it came out too close to ps4 release and pc and 360 gamers who now have a ps4... and that... sir... doesn't throw shade at the ps4's upcoming line up. take your personal projections however you want to......[DOUBLEPOST=1397404996][/DOUBLEPOST]

are we really arguing that a remake of a game from a year ago has more value than a remake of a 10 y/o game?

where did you get that from?
:stopitslime:
winb is the one bringing up halo. i find his position puzzling. For the record, this "value' argument is meaningless as people have different values so what someone may deem as value worthy may be worthless to someone else.

winb likes to spend money and then complain about it

but never the less it seemed people were trying to downplay the reasons why people might be interested in a remake of a 10 y/o game from two console generations ago, as opposed to a game they just played less than a year ago. like I said before, I think they should have waited a few years for the TLOU remake

I thought that they should of made lou a launch game...I was hoping they would make a GOTY for PS4..this shyt will sale....I won't buy a remake of Halo 2 unless it's 10 dollars...it's not a single player game...I would pay for a remake of final fantasy or a lot of other games but not a multiplayer.

Yea if he can afford throwing out his pc if he's not getting a locked 60fps experience i can see why. :skip:

This goes both ways. People seemed to want to dismiss reasons why one would want to play a PS3 remake on PS4. :ld:
I don't think waiting a few years would be wise, by then it'd be pretty much something worthy buying for collection purposes. If a new UC or TLOU dropped, it'd make a remake seem more insignificant. Hell even GTA V I think is appropriate for the new consoles as that came out far too late in the gen imo.[DOUBLEPOST=1397407670][/DOUBLEPOST]

:skip: People aren't buying Halo 2 to run through SP breh. If that was it, people would just download the PC version. I bought a used 360 just to play Gears of War 3 BETA. :ohlawd: I can't wait.

Oh and this double post merge feature is :ahh:. Cleans up threads nicely.

huh? it has a single player campaign. it can also be played co-op

I should of stated that it was more known for it's multiplayer...LOU was one of the if not the best single player game of last year.
