I came to the ps3 late I got it when the metal gear ps3 was out...I had a 360 up until than
R1 was okay.. I only played it some time a few years ago... But yea this gen launch is WAY better than last gen launch. Dudes got rose tinted glasses. It's only 5 months in and you got dudes acting like E3 ain't around the corner.
R1 was the first console FPS I fell in love with. before it was strictly pc for the shooters. it had a great and competitive community also....

The Last of Us could be had for under $30 at times recently on Newegg. Sony thinks re-releasing it on the PS4 is worth $60 for a year old game. they're the ones exploiting their own fanbase because the fanbase is starving for games.
mind you i'm not upset by this in the least. i'm still good with my PS3 and barely play the PS4 or Xbox One. i'm just saying these PS4 fanboys act like Xbox One users are starving for games while i'm sitting up here wondering what's Sony gonna port over next? Beyond 2 Souls? at least Halo 2 would be an HD remake for a game not available on an HD system. It's not like Microsoft went and ported Gears of War Judgment to the Xbox One.

At times?? Okay and then buy the season pass with all relevant DLC and that's $50 IF you happened to get the game "at that time" it's on sale. Now with news of a remake coming out, lets say I have a PS4 or plan on getting one, why would i go in and play the PS3 version of the game?? $60 for all of the aforementioned content with a big graphical and performance update as well as gameplay enhancements sounds like a good deal.
You're funny. So now releasing one year old games for purposes of driving sales for PS4 and getting more revenue is exploitation?? How dare Sony be in business! Cut the bull, Sony/M$/EA w/e are in business. If you think it's exploitative, then simply don't buy the game. I still find it hilarious you're saying this giving that YOU went out and bought TR for PS4 but let's just sweep that under the rug. Starving for games?? Let me guess, the Xbox One fanbase is 
off of games right?? Like what??? List me the games that are out on Xbox One right now that got the Xbots satiated.

If this game coming out is soo exploitative and unnecessary in your opinion, then you have the option to not buy it. I don't see the issue here. It's not like someone can say, "well the resources and money spent could've been put to better use!" here. TLOU engine was said to be ported over to PS4 quickly since ND doesn't seem to be creating a new engine from scratch.That "fanboy" point goes both ways though, Xbox fanboys say the same shyt. A while before this remake was announced you always had a few knuckleheads exclaiming how there isn't anything coming out for PS4 worth buying and how XB1 has all the games *cough* Titanfall PC*cough*.
You're wondering what they're going to port over next?? So because Sony is releasing their first remake of a highly acclaimed game on the PS4 which dropped late onto the PS3; a game that many people voiced they'd like to play it on PS4, it's all of a sudden Sony just milking remakes?? You can't lump remakes of PS2 games on PS3 as something Sony is relying on for PS4.
Of course Xbox wouldn't make a bunch of remakes for their games, what are they going to remaster?? Forza Horizon?? Gears Judgement isn't on the same caliber as TLOU breh,
.Deal with it. Games are going to be remade whether we like it or not. Tomb Raider was remade and I voiced my opinion on that countless times and my point still stands: that game can be had on a capable PC for $20 regularly for the longest. They basically sold new gen owners a version of a game that was already in many people's hands for about a year. I didn't buy it though, my bro did since he didn't play it.
Didn't matter to me.Why do you keep repeatedly bringing up Halo 2??? I said I'm not comparing the value of either game coming out. Just as legitimate as it seem to you Halo 2 HD is coming out, people see TLOU remaster as a justifiable reason to cop a PS4.
TLOU doesn't have a sequel coming out anytime soon so there's no "Oh this is just coming out because TLOU 2 is right around the corner." deal.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen people say they're buying a PS4 JUST for TLOU remaster over on various forums because they either:
- Haven't played it yet
- Want to get a PS4 and playing TLOU over in full hd and 60fps glory with all pertinent DLC seems like a no brainer.
- Copping a PS3 just for this game right now when they can get a PS4 and a much better version seems like a better deal to some folks.
- Double dipping for various reasons(Want to play over on survival.) Multiplayer can now be played in a much more streamlined fashion(Party chat, stream gameplay, record gameplay.)
- That's what I'm doing. I want to play it over on Survival mode with smooth "buttery" 60fps. I want to play it MP with the PS4 controller on the PS4. Is there anything superficial about that? Can I do those things with the PS3 version?
TL;DR?
TLOU Remaster is coming and it will be glorious.
It's so great that I have an option to buy a game or not.
