And their Service Department shyts all over GeekSquad. We used to clown them when I was working in returns because most service issues were from Best Buy.

But yeah, they had the WOAT customer service. Got old constantly having customers :krs: at how I treated them cause they're used to being treated like shyt there

I hated Best Buy for that reason. Trying to sell me shyt I don't need, I've had my :mjpls: at Micro Center, but overall it's been a much better experience. I can't speak on Fry's.

I tried getting a job in the Geek Squad YEARS ago, I didn't have enough experience they said :russ:

Meanwhile, I'm fixing issues that friends went to Geek Squad for :wow:

Either way it’s old corporate bs not Amazon

They were a mess. But the bad relationships with those vendors and paying them screwed them up big time. Covid really helped them out and just made the process quicker. They were no longer getting good deals from the buyers that Micro Center was getting. And just for them to keep traffic in the store they basically made every online store price match able. Which either killed margins(and was better off not even matching and just losing the sell) or they took that difference from a sales associate commission. Like I would get chewed out by home office just because customers were price matching from Amazon,Newegg, TIger and the store margins were low.

Because Amazon is a major threat over the likes of Walmart, who people thought at one point was a major threat to multiple industries. If Amazon completely takes over, then that's going to destory entire industries and businesses. Not just mom and pop shops.
It's funny because time and time again people on this forum will say "they just need to get a better job" and then see nothing wrong with what Amazon is doing. I guess they expect everyone to work for Amazon until they find a way to automate their position:francis:

And the same people who say that are the same ones that don't realize that automation will put their job at stake as well once automation truly kicks in. Amazon (and other companies too) are just using all of those abled bodies until they have no need for them anymore once they get the automation game on lock.

Frys had a damn good cafe and really really good deals on tv’s. They were running a promo where the first 50 people in the store on Fridays would get a 20% off ANYTHING in the store on top of the promo code of the week so ya boi got like $1000 off retail on one of those tv’s and a couple jaws hit the ground when the associates figured out what I was doing :mjlol:

3 stores in Houston one of them was built like the Saturn space rocket because it was super close to Johnson space center. A landmark building really. I’ll miss that store, closest frys was only about 3 miles from my house off 59 freeway :mjcry:

Days are numbered too unfortunately. Just bought my wife’s MacBook there for $50 off retail and they brought out the assistant manager to try to give me a handjob thanking me for my business :heh:

Lol nah thats their policy. Every customer that buys a computer has to get a handshake even when I was there back in 06. If a manager was not around another employee would have to do it.

Lol employees took advantage of the price matching though. We would tell a customer they getting a good deal with the store warranty and all we did was price match that bytch lol.

I got fired after telling a customer that they can get the warranty and their laptop financed at zero percent for 12 months . You wasn't supposed to finance the warranty too but our system had a glitch that let us do so. Even our managers encouraged us to do this:dead: When January came around, the glitch was fixed without my knowledge and my bosses then played dumb , throwing me under the bus :stopitslime:

They denied my unemployment but I took them to appeals court and WON. My old coworkers were :ooh: cause I was the first one to challenge them for my unemployment benefits and succeed in getting them.
