I'm gonna say this, b/c I get tired of hearing ppl on here and in real life taking about how great Texas is, how they're "re-tooling", what new asst coach tehy got, what all-time Texas greatest high school player they recruited, etc, etc, etc

Obviously, I'm bias.......but even if I wasn't, let's look at the FACTS.

Texas has 3 Big 12 titles in total, and ONLY 2 of those titles over the past 16 years. And yes, those 2 are the years they went to the BCS title game(05, 09). That's IT....they have nothing else going all the way back to 1996.

OU has 8 Big 12 titles in total in a period of 12 years. I don't even need to go any further.

This is really a lame statement, and you sound just like the typical jaded angry t-shirt Longhorn fan that under the surface, knows nothing about football.

TITLES/Championships speak for themselves last I checked? Our goal every year is to win the Big 12...then worry about whatever else. Regardless of our BCS record, in the same exact conference, same scheduled teams, head to head, OU has been the best team nearly 3X's more than Texas ,since the inception of the Big 12.

And if this "no one" is you....then what's your school? How successful have they been? Yeah...

Wow..... Reminds me Bowden's last few years here dropping the ball on 5 star recruits from Florida.... If UT aint in the Championship conversation by Week 8 I think its time for the UT alumni to give him the boot... Dude is Frank Beamer status at this point

There is a difference between firing a coach like Mack Brown who inherited a powerhouse that was just down and firing Bowden or Beamer who actually built the programs from nothing.

Hey genius.....you gotta win the conference title before you can play for the national title. That's why that's the goal. Win what you can control(the Big 12) and let the stuff you cant control take care of itself. You have no control over rankings, who else wins/loses from week to week.

But yes, we know national championships are the ULTIMATE goal

Yeah they normally field a pretty solid squad. I think Ohio State was still in a state of flux when recruiting got heavy for him and by the time Urban got hired, it may have been too late...I believe Urban would have told him he could play Baseball as well just to get him on campus...

Nick wasn't having him playing both. When you add the clause for Alabama QBs on top of that, he made the right decision for himself.

basically...that's why it came down to fsu and stanford in the end

Why stop at 10 years? Typical Texas fan trying to skewer the stats in their favor

Lets be fair & objective....lets start at the turn of the century, the year 2000. Around the beginning of the Stoops/Mack era.

National Titles:
School A - has 1 national title
Scbool B - has 1 national title

EQUAL

Head-to-head:
School A - has won 9 times from 2000-2012
School B - has whatever is left over

Conf. Titles
School A - has 8
School B - has 2


I'll let you figure out who School A is vs School B.

In NO OTHER scenario of two schools, not even Michigan/Ohio State, would it even be a debate as to who's been better.

I've said many times before, you're not the Texas fan I'm talking about.

You're one of the few who are realistic. As I am always realistic about whatever flaws OU has. I'll admit when we're slipping. You know firsthand the majority of my OU posts are NOT praiseworthy.

But.....you see the ppl I'm arguing against in here, suggesting records don't matter and other silly stuff. etc.

And to answer ur question, I've seen some non-Texas fans on here saying stuff like that in the past.

Mack Brown did re-energize that UT program, but he's had some major fukk-ups regarding recruiting and actual in-game coaching. Dude just ain't that good with the X's and O's. Ya'll talking about the QBs he's allowed to escape outta Texas. I'm still trippin' how he let Adrian Peterson escape outta Texas.... imagine AP and Vince Young in the same backfield
