Lol Amazon is hell...I worked there briefly 2 years ago...shyt felt like I was a prisoner working for my freedom. Main thing I enjoyed was macking to all the bad bytches that was outhere.

I felt like I was being watched constantly by security, cameras and even employees that were undercover snitches. I ended up getting fired along with 20 other ppl after my lunch break.

fukking security walked me out n shyt thinking that I was gonna show out.

Although the UK has one of the highest portions of low paid workers in the “developed” world, so it’s not a surprise. Everyone goes in on America’s working poor but Britain is fukked in this regard, too. No wonder Bezos has gone there, it’s just a colder version of his corporatist hell

the cities are competing for amazon hq2, not a warehouse. hq2 will have mid to high wage earners for the most part.

that's america is a nutshell, people voting how they wish their lives were and not how they actually are. every american in their mind is a future millionaire and that's why they care so deeply about taxation on the rich, inheritance taxes, etc.

anyway this is a warehouse job and those kind of jobs are hard. it's either that or be replaced eventually by robots. and then people will complain about how all these humans lost their jobs.

Got my A+ in October 2017, was working full-time in March. TBH, with a good resume and the A+, I was getting responses day one, and turned down 4 job offers in that time.

Support specialist. I do some help desk functions, but mostly hands on deployment of different hardware at various sites for the company I am with. Only time I am on the phone is I order a part, and most parts have an online portal. End users are communicated to through Microsoft Lync or through outlook. The culture of our company doesn't encourage nor discourage phone use. Just happens that everyone is completely content to use text messaging rather than phones. So dope

Some of the comments here are disgusting. One of the reason I am always learning new technical skills. It pains me and motivates me when I go into Krogers late and see people packing shyt for super low wages. Even then I can still get the short end of the stick. Not everyone can Engineers, Doctors, Nurses etc. etc. or any high paying career. Capitalism is trash. I don't give a shyt about no two day shipping.

Finally, a full fledge common sense post.....these cornballs don’t get that companies doing more with less and stressing employees is not specific to only Amazon.....when the tech companies have they cert havin asses programming shyt all 24 hrs of the day 7 days a week they gonna remember these bs posts......cuz exploiting employees is becoming a world wide corporate/governing board culture and problem......I know doctors who are over worked, attorneys with way too heavy Corp case loads, IT folks that have their pagers goin off 24hrs a day seven days a week, can’t even fukk they woman unless it’s a quickie and can’t take the kids to the movies......every industry is being exploited, so all this “get me my packages shyt gets laughs from idiots”....but this shyt is likely to happen to most in whatever form in whatever industry. Idiots better wake up. The recession of 08’ did away with unions (to a degree)....and corporate and government bodies have been exploiting more and more......teachers on strike across America.....this shyt is a problem we all need to address, not joke bout for daps.....morons
