Am I overrating Wood, or should he fire his agent? Seems like he should have got more than that.
Yes. Most GM's aren't gonna offer 20 mil to a guy who has damn near been in and out the league and had a nice 20 game stretch. His skillset for his size is coveted right now, but he still got a lot more to prove before he can get those kinda looks.

Sekou and Killian are both 3 years away from their final form. I view everyone else on the team as moveable assets to be in line to trade for when it’s time. Jerami Grant is Weaver’s guy from OKC, and he’s also 26. There’s the chance that he can put up all star numbers on a bad team making him very valuable in a couple years on the trade market. Mason Plumlee has the size and skill set to be the exact same 10-8 player at age 30,31,32. Combine those deals, you can trade for who you want if that gamble comes out right. It’s the long game.

People often forget teams have to spend minimum 90% of their cap so some overpays are inevitable .. you can never have a bunch of young guys on rookie deals

90% of the cap this year is 98m and they are at around 100m

Like this could be bad shyt it could be awful but let Weaver play it out he just got here damn

A lot of the fanbase is idiots that never saw winning & win or lose i like that Detroit is parading athletic guys, though guys and mixing with a potential for a young core.

them soft ass tolliver, ellenson, reggie days are over but they still have work to do
