I worked in consulting once. It's hell. You have no life.
I'm still here. Got used to it. Still fukking sucks but after a while it becomes the new normal

Different teams every project. My favorite project was the one I was just on. Only a month long. We finished w weeks early. I've just been cooling

I use to work for Accenture and Deloitte. The consulting life isn’t for everyone. That 75% travel isn’t for me, I had to leave the industry.

I actually prepared for apprenticeship in consulting groups but my teacher advised against it 
saying I would have all the tasks but not the salary for 2 years

im actually about to soon have my final interview for a small consulting shop for a grad technical position that would require 25% if i do get the job and accept the offer what can i expect`? i live in europe @I AM WARHOL

They get paid to come in and "solve problems" and "fix trouble areas" to be very vague.
A lot seems to boil down to do whatever it takes to back up the "solution" in house management is dead set on
That's a broad ass view that sells a lot of the staff short but it is what it is

I was subcontracted under a big 4- and it was terrible
Only way I'll ever go back to consulting is if the contract is 5+ years federal and in the DMV

I have a ton of friends that did consulting right after undergrad (some came back for a few years after MBA since it was paid for)
Traveling work gets old real fast - I don’t care what nice hotel they put you in. Also being in a cool city, whether it’s domestic or international, means nothing if you’re always working.
I dated a few girls in consulting and it always ended because they wanted to completely occupy my weekends since they were always away until Thursday night / Friday evening
