Yep, all about standardized testing and learning IT is literally the polar opposite of what black folk engaged in the arts from previous generations. They killing off what made black folk so talented and special in the first place.

The talent and passion is lacking. I think that's the main thing people are upset about. No so much the evolving sound. The general lack of unappreciation for the craft of music by the fans and artist. The best should be praised for their talent. Low level lyricist, singers, rappers, producers and musicians are being praised for being copycats and uninspiring. Fans and Artists care more about an image than they do the material. Lack of diversity is also a problem. Seems like the industry is catering to a non black audience. So we are seeing less black faces and black music aesthetics in the R&B music now. The "black sound" is being phased out.
