Honestly...it's a really good album to me but a classic?..ehhh...also..I like Section 80 better...
will turn 38 in November, and the last album that blew my mind like gkmc did was supreme clientele.
of course some nikkas don't wantto accept it as a classic because they feel insecure about their favorite artists..haters can cry if they want, it won't change the fact that the album is widely accepted as a classic by the hip hop industry for legitimate reasons.
Then again, I don't call it a game changer like illmatic or the chronic, it's a bottom line classic in my book but still a classic.
People need to realize that there is a difference between what they think is good and what they enjoy, I fukking hate The Slim Shady LP but the album is still a classic.

Ok?..they're both really good..I just like Section 80 better...but none of them are classics imo...that's my opinion tho...it's a breath of fresh air with what's been out..I just think as a rapper people starting to overrate this nikka like crazy...comparing him to legends n shyt..actin like he mad original when all u gotta do is put Andre 3000 voice over his rhymes and that's exactly who he raps like...

I don't think food & liquor is a classic but it is one.
That's your opinion, but are you really that mad that someone would call it a classic? I'm sure there are perceived classics that you dont agree with, does that make them non classics?

Fam..I know u a super Kendrick fan so this exchange would be pointless...u right..it is my opinion...lol..and Food and Liquor ain't a classic...even tho it was one of my fav albums to drop this decade...

Not mad..I just feel the way I feel...atleast he's a better artist than a lot of these dudes that get hyped up...I always gave him his props..but I'm not tryna overrate this nikka like cats been doin lately tryna compare him to GOATS when he don't even belong in the discussion imo...also..nikkas talk about how original dude is when like I said before..put Andre 3k's voice over his rhymes and that's exactly what u got...which is why I feel he's always been hesitant about listing Andre as one of his biggest influences...
