If that's your opinion breh, that's great, but there's nothing changing the fact that it's going to be considered a classic 10, 20 years down the road And it's not just UG heads who think this

There's not one classic song on this album. No Juicy, dead presidents, world is yours, shook ones, Gin and Juice, mind is playing tricks on me etc.

Classic albums are full of those type of records

I can't get into it. I hate skits with a passion and a lot of the songs didn't start till a 2 min skit. I don't really like his voice on a lot of the songs either, kinda boring
It's a good album and I like a lot of his songs... but I just can't put it up there with illmatic r2d dog style etc as far as classics go

youre the type of person i made this thread for.

that person who repeats what everyone says but cant actually explain why its better or classic.

thats why i made this thread. this dude\album is brought up in every single media outlet as THE mc right now. half teh responses on here are its classic cause everyone says it is.... the only people i know calling it classic are hipster white boys

I really have trouble with Kendrick's flow. His lyrics are dope but I never fell like listening to him cause he sounds so soft and whiny. But I'm old school too. You used to have to sound hard on a record or you would get clowned. I guess that's why I can't get with it.

I'm also a NY east coast rap head. I would guess Kendrick's biggest fans are west coast cats more than the east.

But I do really respect him though. Lyrics are complex and well thought out. And the joints where his voice doesn't sound like a 9 year old I can definitely fukk with like "The Heart Pt II" "Hilpower" or "Sherane".

Bottom line is that it's classic whether I like K.dot or not. Way too much acclaim. And the Wu second CD or GZE first didn't really have any many mainstream radio hits that you could blast while cruising 2 miles an hour but those are both definitely classics.

I'm sorry but it's a classic. Compare it to the rest of these, "Albums" that came out recently and it shines. It's a rare album that you can enjoy all the time. Classic status.
