but since you're from surinam and twice removed from this phenomenon I'll give you a quick rundown on why this has nothing to do with a chicken sandwich. I know you already did your googles on the tulip craze so well start in the usa. Every generation or every 20 or so years corporations create an otherwise worthless product in limited supply and they create an advertising campaign behind it to make it seem like "this is where it's at. If you ain't up on this you might as well be dead."
Which in turn causes a frenzy and mass hysteria in humans bcuz we naturally hard wired to want to be part of the herd, or part of the "in group". In the 80s this same exact frenzy happened with cacs over cabbage patch kids. In the 90s the frenzy was over beanie babies and tickle me Elmo. In the 2010s the frenzy is over bitcoins
. But the thing about all those previous frenzies is that the cost of entry was always too high for black americans as a group to "get in on the action" so to speak. We never got our chance as a group in this country to be part of the in crowd. Until popeyes made a cultural event with a $5.99 entry point. As a group, we can all do $5.99. Social media advertising took care of the mass hysteria bcuz the sandwich was already available for six months before the mass frenzy even started but the sandwich didnt matter back then bcuz the "in group" wasnt doing it.
Popeyes could've started a media blitz behind their fries if they wanted to or even a new milkshake and the mass hysteria would've been the same bcuz being able to participate with the herd or being a part of the in group is what's being triggered in people's mind the most. Who said it was government....corporations do what they want as they have been doing for over 150 years.
You can only go so far as holding people accountable. Then after awhile it just makes it look suspect to say "black folks act like this and this".
Do you see people fighting over Chik Fil A sandwiches...how about robbing them, stabbing people over it? A women in California became the latest person to fall victim to the Popeyes chicken sandwich pandemonium on Tuesday when she brazenly attempted to cut in line at a local drive-thru but inadvertently ended up destroying her own car.
The humble dose of instant karma was captured on video by a number of perplexed diners at a Los Angeles branch of the eatery, who can be heard laughing at the currently unidentified motorist throughout the incident.
The woman, driving an early 2000s silver Mercedes, can been seen trying to force her vehicle between a pillar and in front of another car in the line.
Despite the opening being quite obviously too narrow for her car to fit through, the woman advances regardless, purposely scraping the passenger side of her car against the concrete post.
As bystanders call out that she’s ‘f***ing [her] sh*t up,’ she backs up and grinds her car against the same post again, before shunting forward and colliding with another vehicle.
‘It’s never that serious,’ someone can be heard calling out in the background. ‘All this for a chicken sandwich,’ another adds.
A worker from Popeyes approaches the driver and tells her she’s forbidden from placing an order at the restaurant due to attempting to cut the line and causing a scene at the drive-thru.
The woman continues to grind her vehicle against the concrete pillar with dents forming on both of the passenger doors and the car’s side-skirting starting to fall away.
The video ends when the documenter pans away to a patron eating one of the sandwiches, asking her ‘Is it worth it?’ to which the person responds with a full mouth, ‘Yes!’
Yesterday, a 28-year-old man was stabbed to death outside of a Popeyes in Maryland after he cut into the busy line.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old male Kevin Tyrell Davis of Oxon Hill, Maryland, Prince George's County Police spokeswoman announced Tuesday.
He entered the fast food joint on the 6200 block of Livingston Road around 7pm Monday evening where about three dozen people were in line, many waiting for the newly released chicken sandwich, Police Chief Hank Stawinski said.
He then cut the line and was confronted by a male suspect. The two exchanged words and the argument escalated to the point that the two went outside the restaurant and Davis was stabbed. Cops say the entire confrontation lasted just 15 seconds.
Davis’ death came just 24 hours after Popeye’s re-launched their chicken sandwich, which previously caused fights to break out in chains across the US when stocks ran dry earlier this year.

No one said black folks be the only ones buying it. However the reaction to it in ways you would see addicts of drugs respond to it is coming from a certain demographics.
I would love to test it in a lab. We already know MSG, 5 or 6 color dyes are in it, Sodium Aluminum have effect on the brain.
