NY will be one of the last, and when it does happen there will be way too many venture capital guys, politicians and special interest groups with their hands in the pot. it'll be so bogged down with bullshyt and so mismanaged you'll prob still want to be getting 'black market' bud.
anything that can bring revenue into the city and/or state gets bled dry. imagine all the different types of fees and licenses the albany and city hall dudes are dreaming up right now, to hit anyone wanting to open a shop up with. it'll prob turn into some byzantine system like the taxi cab medallion game. if NY is good at anything, its making things incredibly complicated and difficult, and ultimately passing those costs on to the consumer. we'll be the home of the legal, recreational $120 1/8th
imagine if they DID do it the right way though, and funneled that money right into the MTA and schoolsbut then again the MTA and DOE would find ways to fukk that money up

Hopefully the new New Jersey governor keeps his promise and legalize rec weed fast. I got street dank in Venice Beach last week but it wasn't bad. The stuff I got in Vegas was way better tho (22% thc) . Never been that high before

Nah...there is major reform happening in La., which is actually big step for allowing a potential cannabis industry. 1,400 more Louisiana prisoners will be out Nov. 1 as criminal justice overhaul takes effect
If the casinos in La. attract millions of Texans every year, imagine what the addition of state regulated industry would add as far as tourism and sales taxes. I think Florida or La. will be first states in the south, unless Mississippi says fuuck it and begins to regulate.
First cities to decriminalize will be either some Florida city, Atlanta, maybe Austin or Houston, possibly New Orleans.
Just predictions based on the culture and industries in these places.
Petrochemical industry will probably not be as fond of having the potential of hemp permitted to grow and compete in their backyard though.
