The old ass ref on ESPN said he thought it was right not to make the call and directly affect the outcome of the game
What... wtf? That's such a bad look for refs, basically admitting they will make calls on emotions rather than actual rules
Rules are rules. You dont officiate the game based on what is smart or stupid and it's not about what anyone deserves. Can't have refs officiating games that (1) Don't know the rules and/or (2) Are unwilling to make the proper call on the field. Clown was literally sitting right thereIt's bullshyt, Calvin fukked up, it's a stupid rule that nobody even knew, players or refs. Not saying it wouldn't suck as a Lion fan but breh, fumbling at the goal line and you deserve to lose anyway.
Detroit's ball on the 1 because you cannot intentionally bat a ball forward.Wait what should the correct call have been?
Refs misses calls all the time especially an obscure rule like thisHorrible, canned responses.

First the #failmary now #fumblegateDetroit's ball on the 1 because you cannot intentionally bat a ball forward.
It's a correct rule technically. In this specific case it's very silly though because Seattle clearly could have easily recovered it. It was on refs to know the rule anyways.
Hawks being gifted these early season home games. But this is all on Calvin.Refs get told to put an emphasis on this next timeObscure rule is still a rule.
Ray Lewis was right, if the players fukk up and not follow the rules, they get penalized with fines, but what happens with refs?

It's obscure but it's not really subjective like a pass interference call a refund might 'miss'Refs misses calls all the time especially an obscure rule like this
not necessarily, fumble recoveries arent just cut and dry he could have dropped it or went through his hands. yes its a ticky tack call but it makes sense since seattle would have never had possession. looking at it again the ball actually bounced up, its momentum wasnt going out of bounds anymore. its an egg shaped ball it can bounce anywhere and recovery isnt guaranteedDetroit's ball on the 1 because you cannot intentionally bat a ball forward.

Horrible, canned responses.
. That ball was already going outta the endzone. I'm not following this outrage.the fukk does this have to do with what actually occurred and how it should have been called?
Wright broke the rule, the refs should have called it.
