Funk Flex should call out Mr. Fantastik

Son has 2 song credits on Discogs. This is the absolute deepest of deep cuts. :leon::skip:

Surprised Flex hasn't hit up LL yet - that new joint he has with Q-Tip was :ohhh:

I don't get the disrespect, I thought the track was good.

I think several of these songs are good. I don't get these attitudes. Are they supposed to make South music, or whatever you like? I like the Math Hoffa joint, I think the Busta joint is his best in a minute.
I think all of these songs have been mediocre to just ok. I’m not sure what you mean about South music.

Has any other dj played these songs? Have any of these dudes released a hit? I just don’t think any of these songs have been very good and I’m a fan of most of these guys. But I’m not in denial as to why Fabolous or Juelz Santana don’t get played on the radio anymore and I don’t believe it has to do with Flex “hating” on these dudes.

I’m 45, so I lived through Hip Hop only being played on Friday and Saturday nights (Kiss FM and WBLS) to Hot 97 being a dance station to turning into a 24 hour Hip Hop station. I definitely know the evolution but as I said, we may care but the average youth 30 and under doesn’t look at radio for a source of listening to music
If this is the case then these DJs would be free of the obligation to play "what works" and be more balanced.

Busta just put out a pretty dope album very recently, was definitely better songs on there than these 2. And nah I'm definitely not asking for "South Music". I just want him to do some new original banging creative fly bugged out shyt, instead of these weak re-make tracks.

Thats basically what was missing from Busta's recent album, which was decent otherwise, but was missing a good proper catchy hit type single. His closest attempt was the one sampling BBD's 'Poison' - but again it felt like too much of a retread/remake. (and I guess that weaker 'Baby If You Give It To Me' remake too, which once again was even worse of a boring remake attempt). So, thats what I was excited about Flex calling him out to make. A hit song worthy of playing on the radio. And I was disappointed that he basically just tossed off a few more freestyled remakes over old beats. Busta needs to somehow get back in his catchy originality creativity bag, maybe do something more like in the vein of a 'Gimme Some More' or a 'Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See' or a 'Dangerous' -- but not a remake.

I think Flex himself might actually be to blame here tho, he might have sent all these old beats, I know he sent the one to Conway that set this challenge off
