Dont try to make it a "rap" thing. Its all relative. Of course rap holds writing to the highest standard, but if you admit it, you prolly still get a pass. When Kanye or Dre make an album, we know that the process is getting the best songwriters and producers together to craft a classic. We hold them to the standard of a composer or director. But if youre getting outside help and claim that youre the nicest in the game, that every song sounds like "Drake featuring Drake", "never the flow tho..." etc, and now we have reason to believe that you werent behind all of that, youre now guilty till proven innocent.
Snoop mentions that he gets help with his verses now in interviews. DOC made him re-do his verse on Think About It and coached him through the shyt. He declared it in an interview. Snoop killed that record and gets props all day for his job on there but I know that DOC penned the shyt. Thats the difference. Drake tried to trick us. Until yesterday we had no reason to believe Drake was getting help
