I dunno if it was because I was 14 but I remember that Val Venis and "i'm going to cut off your pee pee!" storyline to be horrifically addictive and entertaining. Would probably find it cheesy as fukk now, but damn, Val Venis could really work the crowd.

It's a shame how far WWE has fallen since then. Val was a mid-carder and would have the crowd go absolutely nuts.

Today, a mid-carder like R-truth raises his hands over his ears expecting a mass crowd reaction and he gets silence.

val venis had a brief feud with the rock and sock connection, then i remember they tried to push him as a heel booking him in a main event match against austin, that killed it there, I dont think the heel route was the way to go, they should have written it to where he actually took a stand against triple h and wanted a shot at the title

I thought I was the only one who remembered that Val Venis heel run. The first one. Not the one with Trish Stratus.

The first one worked in my opinion because he was still a sleazebag. That whole main event push started because he stuffed Socko down his trunks.

Yeah...it is kind of fukked up now that I'm looking back. As a kid, it never occurred to me that Val Venis was TECHNICALLY doing heel shyt by sleeping with guy's wives & sisters.

Now that I'm grown, I'm realizing that the WWF was just teaching us life lessons at an early age back then.



People may argue but in my eyes, dude was at least a top 10-15 character in that era. Morley was just having fun out there.
