Seriously, I wonder if they can just make a curriculum that's centered on the state test. That way you're always prepping for the test without needing to do something extra.

Breh, that's what the curriculum is based on. One of the biggest criticisms of standardized testing at the state level is that It forces teachers to only teach the children how to pass the test, not to actually educate them. Anything that's not likely to be covered on the exam is done away with, because it's of no use if the sole objective is to pass an exam.

There is little incentive for schools to educate because their funding ( and jobs) is what's directly linked to the number of children they can report that passed these exams.

It being specifically math that produced zero passing students also means that even if you did specifically base your curriculum around the statistics derived from last years exam.... there would be no way you could achieve any sort of success cause these kids clearly do not understand any of the fundamentals that predicate them doing math at their grade level.

If not one of your students...Not a SINGLE one out of ALL of your students can pass a test that you teach. Thats not just "these kids are hell". Teachers have zero accountability. One of the only jobs that exists as such. As soon as they removed job performance for them, the decline was dramatic.

They are prepared, they're prepared for jail. Its the school to prison pipeline. Its unfortunate but it's the reality. We don't make education cool in the black community and it shows.

Again, it pinpoints back to the crack epidemic. We need a whole cultural Anthropology study on how Crack changed the value system of Black America.
