Why ny cats stay in they feelings jay z wasnt known till 98 hardknock life. Only a few people knew him when he did reasonable doubt. Especially the south and west didnt know him. Jay came after pac and big and reasonable became hot after jay z career took off.

it wasn't supposed to be "hot" that was Jay's stepping stone in the rap game. this is why people need to stop worrying about "hits" and other dumb shyt. that album is still known as his best work to date.

Reasonable Doubt's one of my favorite albums of all time. That said, Future's 100% right about this. Jay Z even said so on Hard Knock Life. This isn't a hot take at all.
