My comment was directed at Pharrell's newly discovered blackness and his attempt to diffuse any racial tension by not being associated with people that make drug references. His first thought when he heard the title of the song and the hook wasn't, "shyt, maybe I have reached a point where I no longer need to rely on enforcing stereotypes and negatively influence kids. No, instead, I can drop a couple of jewels on what I did to get successful or get Future to change the direction of the song."

He instead asked one of Future's weed carriers to write him a verse that talks about him knowing nikkas that are packin' with the biggest missiles and how they are knocking over vehicles. He felt like he needed to conform to his "new" values which are shown by his recent interview with Oprah and his new album. nikkas in the hood aint been happy since the 60s but somehow we are all one nation and no longer have to worry about racial stereotypes or feel threatened that we will no longer be judged by the color of our skin
