Hearing this song on the radio just makes me :snoop:, yeah they say "dough" in the radio version but come on now. Can't be glorifying this type of shyt and have kids singing it... But what am I thinking 99% of the shyt on the radio is just as bad.

Wat u talkin bout

Im not gonna look them all up, but its funny nobody seems to know about it

pharrell told the game he needs to chill on the "gangbanger" shyt and I think thats when they fell apart

I think on doctors advocate he disses him on at least 5 songs

"we dont put stars on our shoes"
"red bandana in my back pocket im pharrell, this aint no pastel colored khaki suit and I aint pharrell (nikkas aint shyt)"

im not looking up any more, he says alot of slick shyt in alot of records ... I love it

:what:

My comment was directed at Pharrell's newly discovered blackness and his attempt to diffuse any racial tension by not being associated with people that make drug references. His first thought when he heard the title of the song and the hook wasn't, "shyt, maybe I have reached a point where I no longer need to rely on enforcing stereotypes and negatively influence kids. No, instead, I can drop a couple of jewels on what I did to get successful or get Future to change the direction of the song."

nope.

He instead asked one of Future's weed carriers to write him a verse that talks about him knowing nikkas that are packin' with the biggest missiles and how they are knocking over vehicles. He felt like he needed to conform to his "new" values which are shown by his recent interview with Oprah and his new album. nikkas in the hood aint been happy since the 60s but somehow we are all one nation and no longer have to worry about racial stereotypes or feel threatened that we will no longer be judged by the color of our skin:camby:
nikkas in the hood during the 60s were happy?

:mjlol:

Honestly I understand pharrell's point..it ain't just about "CACs" like y'all sayin..dudes audience after that Happy song is some other shyt..literally worldwide kids and adults...put it like this..my moms wanted to hear his verse on it and when we listened to it together she kinda cringed...dude is on another level now and the subject matter in that song and the way it's delivered is ignorant as fukk..
you listen to Future with your momz b?
