People assume haiti is pure African just because people are dark-skinned and because of voodoo but all the diaspora cultures are creolized

I mean many islands in the Caribbean are filled with dark skin people but I feel you.

Yea people def think because of voodoo Haiti is only African influenced lol. Haiti’s was a colonized nation like every island in the Caribbean.

You would think half the population having the last name Pierre-Louis, and the first name Jean would open peoples mind a bit lol

I'd be keeping it less than 100 if I didn't note that the portion of pate on the left of the screen has more meat by itself than the last 5 meat pates I've had COMBINED.

Maybe the midwest is different but Haitian spots out here may call them beef pates, but they are meat flavored croissants, really.

It's never any fuxing meat on those oxtail platters. Always dumb expensive but meat be few a fahr between. Gristle n shyt

Oxtail is a damn waste to even order. I have no idea why the fukk people even bother. Better off getting the damn oxtail gravy over some fukkin rice with some shrimp or chicken and keeping it moving.

had a a home girl whose mom use to run a jamaican spot. She use to come drop off ackee and saltfish and fried dumplings all the time, use to boil up some mint tea....mannnn

I done spent damn near $20 on a Oxtail meal and it wasn’t even good..I said fukk it and started making my own..ain’t ordered it since :blessed:

Haitiene cuisine uses a lot of French cooking methods. Their pâtés are different from Jamaican and Nigerian patties because they are made like french pastries. The outside crust is thinly layered which is different from the traditional thick outer dough of the other patties. So these have to be made fresh every time. Plus I hate the yellow curry Jamaicans mix into their dough.

My girlfriend is Haitiene so she hip me to these. I'd never eat a frozen ass Jamaican patty ever again. They are good fresh and hot or you can leave them out at room temperature and they are just as good. Eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. :noah:
