You can refuse a field sobriety test, but then they're gonna make you take a breathalyzer or take blood, if you refuse those your license is gone. If that happens your only hope of beating the case is if the cop car had a dash cam, and you're not stumbling around or slurring your words or acting any kind of way that gives them probable cause to believe you're drunk on cam. If the car doesnt have a cam, you're fukked because it's their word against yours.

The worst thing you can do is pull a u-turn. That tells them that you're drunk, or you're driving without a license or insurance, or you got dope in the car, or you got warrants, and best believe they will come after you.

If you come up on a road check, best thing to do is go through and act normal. If you're just buzzing and can maintain, and not acting suspicious they'll likely let you through. If you're wasted, you're fukked. But its better to take a DUI charge then turn around and try to run when they come after you and get a DUI, evading, and reckless driving charges
