There's a new thing where people try so fukkin hard to disect a show about fake fighting, that they go out of their way to find some sort of flaw, and ignore history. Bryan Alvarez is really really bad at this to the point where even meltzer will say "it doesn't matter".

What it does in real storytelling

• They get two tag matches at the ppv, and can tell a story with that.
• Usos are gonna win.
• They slowly been heeling it up for over a month out of jealousy of American alpha and they fully turned with this action.
• When they win, they would've gone over hype bros, beat down alpha, and slater and rhyno, which all of which fans love getting them good heat. They could even cheat vs slater and rhyno because they're tired from the previous match.
• Now, the babyface tag teams have someone to chase, and american alpha can get their heat chasing the heel champs usos, culminating in a triumphant win.

i'm not denying that heels do heel things. i'm saying that traditionally, before the company stopped giving a shyt, heels would not be rewarded for such blatant disobedience by babyface aligned authority figures.

It's heel shyt. The Usos are not in this match because they don't deserve it, they are in the match because they and the Hype Bros were the two seminfinal teams who lost. You aren't going to reward a team that hasn't won a match in the tourney.
