Baseball doesn't promote its stars, it's something the league has struggled with in recent years. There's American born stars like Pete Alonso, Aaron Judge, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Jacob DeGrom, Garrit Cole, but I don't think anyone knows who they are outside of the fanbases of the teams they played for.

Other sports don't have this issue, the biggest star in the NFL plays in bumfukk Kansas (Pat Mahomes).

If you’re a fan of a sport, why tf do you care about rankings? How does that ruin your viewing pleasure? I swear y’all don’t like sports. Just attracted to the shyt around it.

Football is king. It takes A LOT out of folks so they don't have room mentally to invest in other sports. CFB and NFL right now. Basketball and hockey don't really get cooking until after the SB if we're honest.

In the span of 36 hours, I watched the Cowboys, Mavs, Stars and Rangers all win a game. FC Dallas got beat in game 1 of the playoffs by Seattle.

Literally had four different games on last night of just local teams and then Detroit vs Vegas was on the laptop.

I was watching the Rangers because that's my team but otherwise, I'm probably watching MNF over the Mavs and Stars...and it's two football teams that I'm neutral on.
I agree, Football literally end relationships.

Dallas and Phoenix are NOT small markets. It just feels that way because we know those markets don’t rock with baseball as much as other sports.

A basketball equivalent would be Nets vs Suns
The Suns are the first and oldest professional sports team in the phoenix area. And the NBA(suns) is arguably the most popular spectator sport in the city ahead of the Cardinals(nfl) Diamondbacks(mlb)and Coyotes(nhl)

Easy to tell people in this thread dinner watch baseball at all. Even highlights.

The argument about individuality had been completely blown or the water. Guys like Acuna are all swagged out now. Bat flipping and chest pounding are just regular occurrences now. If anything the NFL allows far less individuality than the MLB right now. The Rangers have 2 starters that speak spanish and they both speak English in interviews. DFW is the 4th largest media market. Rangers have a combo of signed all-stars and home grown talent. They had multiple all star starters and took down the biggest villain in sports UN the last 10 years in a dramatic 7 game series. The Rangers score lots of runs and they make every damn game interesting with their crazy bullpen. People just don't watch basball anymore. The Rangers have more than enough to garner an audience, but no one cares too even look.

Of course Cam and Mase don’t give a fukk about baseball…no one black under like 55 does lol

But watching this makes me think about the role sports media plays in the baseball’s irrelevance…I don’t watch them shyts, but generally I get the impression that the talking head sports shows pretty much completely ignore baseball…like i can imagine someone who doesn’t really follow the nba actively can get a decent idea of what’s going on from just watching Get Up and First Take everyday…don’t think that’s the case for MLB
