How do you know for a fact that it's not genuine? Rappers should be some of the main people to push a positive message. Why? Because they have a huge impressionable fan base. If people will listen to them rap about the hood, the streets etc, why wouldn't they listen to this message. It's all about balance breh.

I was a little kid when all those rappers released "self destruction" and "all in the same gang" But by your thought process, it wasn't "genuine" either? Should those artist back in the day NOT have said anything

Question: were all the so called "goons/gangsters" that were out in the streets of Ferguson/st.Louis rioting, throwing tear gas back at police/ marching and protesting for anime Brown. Should they have not been out there simply because they may have sold dope/been in the streets etc?

Rappers now are nothing but opportunist...they will rap about anything if it means profit. They dont care about the kids, or their people (not saying they have to)...just dont patronize us with this struggle We Are the World.
