NFL Gameday 98, they said it couldn't be done, a fully realized polygon game on the PS1. But 989 pulled it off, So for the first time seeing it was a true "WOW" moment in gaming. Although in 2015, looking back you would say what nikka please, what the fukk are you smoking. But in 1997 this shyt was epic. Full 3D polygonal environment, not 2d sprite based, which was the thing back then.

The original NBA 2K for the Dreamcast & Shenmue. 2K crushed all NBA games when that dropped with the graphics & superior gameplay. Also I had never seen so much detail to the face model in Shenmue than any other game. It set the standard for all open world games
