NFL Gameday 98, they said it couldn't be done, a fully realized polygon game on the PS1. But 989 pulled it off, So for the first time seeing it was a true "WOW" moment in gaming. Although in 2015, looking back you would say what nikka please, what the fukk are you smoking. But in 1997 this shyt was epic. Full 3D polygonal environment, not 2d sprite based, which was the thing back then.

Me too. I remember how that joint was. It was probably my favorite game on SNES. When I seen the Tropical Freeze joint on WiiU i just had to get it.

For real though... the jump from GTA II to GTA III represents one of the most monumental jumps in console history. They changed the game with GTA III

Yup...it was like a seismic shift or some shiit in the earths crust...I think GTA3 on PS2 is the PS exclusive that got everyone officially off PS1.

People who were waiting or holding on just a little longer with PS1 were officially done when GTA3 dropped.
