I played through this earlier this year. It's an experience breh. I don't have it as my game of the generation but I can't argue against someone that does. For the sum of it's parts, top 5 game this generation in my opinion.
I wholeheartedly agree. As much as I liked CP, I feel it would have been better in 3rd person.

Da fukk? I say it would have been better. I spend a good amount of time in 3rd person when I drive. World looked pretty detailed to me. And the melee would have been significantly better. YOU may prefer first person. Cool. I prefer it in 3rd.it would not have.

Although the 3rd person mods show why they probably didn't, lol. The animations of even the simplest of movements are borderline atrocious. Understandably, they’re that way cuz it wasn't built with seeing them in mind.....but still, lol!
The game would have had to be built very different.
The game you got would not have been the game it is if it was built for 3rd person.
It’s not a simple toggle.

There have been games that have done this before. And hell, the driving already is as such. It could totally have had both.
And only one of the perspectives was actually good.
It’s a novelty at best.
Whichever perspective the game was built to use is always the best way to play.
