On topic though, I’d rather see sequels than prequels. They do nothing for me.

its the 2nd least interesting for me
i didnt want a prequel from this era or Roberts Rebellion
they shouldve did it during the Aegon the Conqueror era or a spinoff about old Valyria...or even the Targaryen civil war
cant believe theyre doing a prequel in a era before the Targaryens arrived
these are the most notable characters from the Golden Age of Heroes era:
- Bran the Builder[3] - who built the Wall and Winterfell. He is also accredited for other famous constructions, including Storm's End and even the Hightower. He is said to have founded House Stark, the Kings of Winter.
- Lann the Clever[3] - who supposedly swindled Casterly Rock from the Casterlys using nothing but his wits. House Lannister traces their descent from Lann.
- Garth Greenhand[4] - the ancestor of House Gardener of the Reach, as well as many other houses.
- Durran[5] - founder of House Durrandon and first of the Storm Kings, who raised Storm's End to check the wrath of the gods for wedding their daughter Elenei
- The Grey King [3] of the Iron Islands - legends hold that he wed a mermaid and became king of the western isles and all the sea beyond.
- Symeon Star-Eyes - a legendary knight who was blind.
They're never doing a tv series on Valyria....never
The cgi budget for all of those dragons would be ridiculous. They can't afford it. If they're ever going to do something, it's going to have to be a $250 million movie.
Aegon's Conquest wouldn't have been bad though.
I like the Age of Heroes era. The only drawback is there's no writing from GRRM so the show writers will be writing 99.99% of the story which could go horribly
but if they handle it right, there's so much lore/world building for that period. Also, keep in mind, ASOIAF is this generation's Lord of the Rings. This isn't going to be the last adaptation.

I wanted Targaryen Civil War but I'm still excited for this.
In most cases I agree but a prequel many thousands of years ago is much better than a sequel in the distant future in the asoiaf universe.
If this pilot was a sequel we’d see the sons and daughters of Sansa and Gentry or the kids of Jaimie and Brienne and shyt like that which would be wack. They’d find a bunch f ways to connect the new story with the old story. But because this is such a distant prequel we won’t see as many winks and nods at the audience or hard connections to the story. You usually don’t get that in prequels, it’s almost always filled with fanservice and comes off like fan fiction.
But Westeros 10000 years ago offers much more room for freedom and creativity imo.

What in the fukk do you mean “last season fukked that up”? Are you saying there was something wrong with the last season?GoT could’ve been mentioned alongside Breaking Bad and The Wire, but last season fukked that all up.
The pacing was way too fast. They should’ve had two episodes to make it all flow better.
And the Benjen save was super cheap and predictable. 
The last season of The Wire was trash too. It just got too unrealistic with the fake serial killer angle.GoT could’ve been mentioned alongside Breaking Bad and The Wire, but last season fukked that all up.
