after all the time and effort for book readers to have put into this series and all the waiting, for some TV writers to come and finish it with some 1 hour episodes 10 times a year. Shortening the story tremendously for TV time.

It's an interesting thought.

Tyrion at one point asks himself why the Valyrian expansion never extended to Westeros. They were expanding like crazy in Essos and taking down civilizations more advanced than the Westerosi.

I suspect they never tried it because somehow they were aware of warging and thought it could be extremely dangerous to their control of dragons.

I read somewhere the reason book 4 and 5 took so long was he was having trouble with the mereen storyline.Hopefully now he got everybody where their supposed to be the books come out faster.

lol yea that was the mereenese knot joke..remember when pod was gonna fukk 3 hoes and tyrion said one of them was master of the mereenese knot? that was a nod to the readers and GRRM cause thats what he called the mereen thing.

I think us, the fans, are looking for things that aren't there sometimes, and thats what peole that are doubting GRRM thinking he doesn't have it all figured out. From what I have read and seen of dude, he is super calculated and does nothing unless there is something that it is tied into.

i got a couple pages into the 4th book and hit the


straight up just went to characters i liked/had already invested time into (it was kinda tricky with arya cuz of the name changes ) and when i started book 5 i was able to put the pieces together of shyt i missed

But I can see why he had a hard time writing those parts. The Meereen chapters were the biggest chore for me, I couldn't give a fukk less about any of those dumb ass name Ghiscari fukkers. Shavepate, Harpy, Brazen Beasts even Barristan couldn't redeem how uninteresting those chapters were to me overall.

edit: Matter fact, I'm real curious to see how they're going to handle all that stuff on the little screen, because that whole Meereen/Yunkai situation with the inner conflicts in Meereen AND the different sellsword companies

one hundred fifty thousand percent agree...that whole storyline had me like

in fact...Dany's whole arc after the third book is just some mind numbingly boring bullshyt...she went from one of my top 5 characters to read about to near the bottom, because anytime she came up it was some nonsense going on...at some point I'm going to have to re-read that stuff because when I read it I was only half paying attention and was rushing to get to other POVs...so I'm not really sure if I could tell how or why all of that resolved itself
