This is like Phil Spencer reversing Kinect being included with the Xbox One in his early days. Obvious steps are being taken and it's too soon to see the impact of them.

The only thing of consequence she's done is destroying the promise of Game Pass including all Microsoft 1st party titles day 1.

Crazy that the main reason xbox stans were going crazy over the acquisition was COD in gamepass now it’s ‘we’re so back no more COD!’ :deadrose:
COD to me was a franchise that has low value the annualised nature of them the community etc.

I couldn’t buy the games and wanted to know what its like to play the newest one at launch, but I had to deal with other circumstances and the price jumped up so high I never bothered to re subscribe. It would have been cool but oh well :yeshrug:

Obviously I wasn’t just going to subscribe just for cod at $30 a month :mjlol: I was going to play the other games mostly.

Seeems like they are really racking their brains to make this concept work behind the scenes, as it’s their main selling point outside Nintendo and PlayStation but slowly but surely over the past 5 years we’ve seen gamepass inching more and more towards the other sub models than vice versa.

nyone with a brain could have just done basic math and told you it doesn’t work

Microsoft is a subscription services business. They aren't going to shift away from that.

They're essentially working out what is a required tier and what's an add on.

I imagine they see a lot of GPU users aren't playing COD and it's better suited as an add on than a part 9f the base package.

Unironically she's coming from AI and Microsoft is going through something similar with their E5 vs E7 licenses and co-pilot

Cod is a subscription service/platform within itself with its own community.

They tried to merge the gamepass community with the COD community and probably found out they don’t mix. If you aren’t a fan by now, just being on gamepass won’t make you a fan of cod, and if you are already a fan, COD is a lifestyle kinda like fortnight, lotta people ONLY play cod so having a sub service full of games they won’t play won’t serve those people.

It makes all the sense in the world to allow gamepass users to customize which benefits work for them instead of making everyone pay for everything.

I know…i know….new thing to console war over but this is a good thing for xbox owners/gamepass users. :manny:
