I'm not reading all this. Did duke ever find out how much profit they made???
$27.2 billion last quarter. I don't think many companies give you a line by line of the individual net income of portions of a specific division. People buy stock in the entire company not a small segment of it.I'm not reading all this. Did duke ever find out how much profit they made???
I bought a ton of msft stock the year game pass was announced ironically.
How much profit did XBOX make CRODIE ...$27.2 billion last quarter. I don't think many companies give you a line by line of the individual net income of portions of a specific division. People buy stock in the entire company not a small segment of it.

"why would they go third party"

Do some math. How many 100-300 mill games could 5 bily fund5 billy revenue is a decent chunk of change but it's not profitable. If it was, M$ would be screaming from the mountains that game pass is profitable to get more investors to buy stock. Someone mentioned that they paid 1 billion for third party developers to put their games on there. But what about first party games that cost 100-300 million to make a piece. Not to mention COD that's a separate beast on its own. It's not sustainable in the long run. But I can see another price increase for the service in the immediate future

Like i said, dudes make up their own reality.Sony spending 300 million on single player games, and the P&L even gets leaked confirming the profitable margins are incredibly low, and Sony stans still are like"why would they go third party"
Microsoft says gamepass is profitable for like the 3rd year in a row and it's revenue is over 5 billion... Sony stans are like, but what's the profit numbers

So that means they're not making a profit then if all that money is spent making, developing, server upkeep, and marketing games...Anyone can say how much revenue they make. But they never show the actual profit margins. It's the same as when they stopped posting their console sales.Do some math. How many 100-300 mill games could 5 bily fund![]()
Again, do some math. How many games could 5 billy fund?So that means they're not making a profit then if all that money is spent making, developing, server upkeep, and marketing games...Anyone can say how much revenue they make.

This is an often repeated talking point, but it’s just wrong. But they never show the actual profit margins. It's the same as when they stopped posting their console sales.

In a year this company does $281 billion in revenue. Something generating $5 billion is less that 2% of annual revenue. Would you buy a company for a segment of the business that’s 2% of total annual revenue even if it was a profitable segment?5 billy revenue is a decent chunk of change but it's not profitable. If it was, M$ would be screaming from the mountains that game pass is profitable to get more investors to buy stock. Someone mentioned that they paid 1 billion for third party developers to put their games on there. But what about first party games that cost 100-300 million to make a piece.
