Admission that putting cod in gamepass would be way too expensive to entice consumers, anything else is a reach.
They put CoD on Game Pass specifically because it was part of their pitch for the service even though they knew better. Activision flat out admitted if not for the merger it wouldn't have happened.

So no it's not a reach. They said all first party games and now one exist that isn't included in that all. If one exist then two, three, four, or more can exist as well. We've seen how Microsoft operates and it's a foregone conclusion that other titles in the future will be deemed too big to be included on Game Pass day 1 because the economics of doing so are unplesant.

Cult paragraphs
There is nothing cult about the process of setting precedents and one has been set here. Going forward a Game Pass subscription no longer guarantees subscribers all Microsoft 1st party games on the service day 1. That is an undisputable fact simple because the Call of Duty series exist.

Dad promised he'd show up to every game and until the 11th grade he has. in the 11th grade he misses a game. Who is to say he that will be the only game he misses? The fact that he missed one makes it easier to justify missing another. You'll be fine he missed that game and it didn't kill you.

No. They put cod in gamepass because it was their goal to put all their games in gamepass from the service start before even owning Activision. Now that the old team is gone, the new leader decides that if feasible doesn't make sense and hurts not only gamepass membership but cod

If that happens it happens, all companies operate in the moment not only Microsoft

That's literally what I said. It was their pitch to customers to put all 1st party games on the service day 1.

Really the best move they could have made.

They had to bring the price down, and removing CoD was step 1.

At least they admitted the 30$ price point was too much, contrary to what some others were saying.

COD is an ongoing game.

3 months of GP= more money than a game purchase and that’s all money straight to xbox. No 30% cut. No retail, shipping, etc.

Yall so concerned with trying to denigrate gamepass you can’t even do math :wow:

This is the problem yall are running into.

Gamepass can’t simultaneously be a failure AND kill revenue for games.

Either they are bringing in lots of revenue through gamepass OR, people are rejecting gamepass and just buying games outright.

Either way COD will make lots of money.

If by “everyone” you mean sony stan’s wishful thinking then sure. You guys hope gamepass fails, but it’s already been a success for xbox and they will continue with it :manny:
