GameStop, FuncoLand etc., had more of an aura when I was young.

Parents bought the games so I had to think long and hard about what I wanted.

Now, if I see it...I buy it new from Best Buy or Amazon. GameStop had the used game hustle, but with PS+ and GamePass, it's not really needed. Plus we all remember how they'd take your game and give you $6 for it and then turn around and sell it for $49.99.
I remember one time when I was like 17, Target had this Nascar PS1 game on sale for like $19.99 or something cheap. I bought it, didn't open it, went right across the street to the mall at Gamestop and dude gave me almost full value trade-in. :wow:

I wouldn't go in Gamestop now bc there's no reason to. When GTA 6 drops will be the next time they have big crowd

Hilarious trajectory. Went from your typical shyt brick and mortar store, to being the plaything of Reddit bros to stick it to Wall Street, to being some weird ass right wing incel gamer nerd mouthpiece. Good riddance. Idk anyone who even steps foot in their shythole unless they need to build a funk pop collection
