Yes, between the cost of consoles going up after they come out, which isn't usually the case games that engage in fomo the focus on constant online multiplayer instead of really good crafted single-player games, the game industry is in trouble plus gamers are getting older. Mobile games just suck and other ways we have of consuming our time like YouTube, Instagram and tiktok gaming Will survive but it will suck more and more and we will get older and older and there's nothing we can do about it

Consolidation is a response to industry challenges not the cause for them. And if anything consolidation has led to MORE access to games. Not less.
