Saw the tracklist and figured the joint with Ne-Yo and Nitty Scott, shyt turned out to be one of my favorites on the album

The Neyo joint is the WOAT, it derails the momentum of the whole LP. Its just as bad as the disney track Rza put on the last Wu LP.

In my opinion this project was put in overtime by premier and i can def respect that! You can tell every beat on here was crafted carefully and it gives you that FEELING like they never left. Only complaint i have on this album is that most of the songs are short af but even then i can understand, preemo had little to work with with the verses he bought off solar. The last joint though, was probably Premier's best beat in some time :ooh: wish Royce was on that one as well :salute:

Listening to this made me realize how much of a void there is in hip hop. A regular guy spitting regular everyday thoughts from a grown man perspective. Sounds simple but its cringe worthy when I hear cats 40 years old talking about flipping keys..... Guru always kept it relatable. Preem put work in.

TYRONE GA!
It definitely aged well. I think it had 3 things going against it. Maybe 4.

1. It had been half a decade since Moment of Truth and people had high expectations
2. It wasn't as dope as Moment of Truth which let people down
3. There was a slight change in Preem's sound
4. Certain songs seemed like watered down versions of previous songs that were on Moment of Truth (Capture, Who Got Guns, and Eulogy).

#3 is interesting because it wasn't a drastic change in sound, and maybe some of it was the mix, but I just remember the album sounding a little bit less warm, and not as filled out and thick as Moment of Truth. Preem also used some more beats on there with more totally open spaces in them. I think all of this came together at the same time, and people just felt a little bit let down by it.

But I think the years have been kind to this album, and listening to it now with the expectations stripped away, and not caring if Capture wasn't as dope as Militia or if Eulogy wasn't as dope as In Memory Of...it's still a great album. I like it a lot and I think I'll listen to it today.

Love Ownerz. Never got all the hate for thay album. I spin it on the regular. Love it actually.
