Short and to the point. "Bad Name" is exactly right, there are some weak emcees out there giving Hip Hop a bad name. These dudes ain't even rapping but want to be called rappers, SMH. Like Guru use to say, "That ain't Hip Hop that's something else, you better return to the Ave doin somethin Else". That verse sounds like he talking about Hip Hop RIGHT NOW. This is why Guru is a Timeless Emcee and is criminally slept on (Not by Real Heads though). I just saw the track-listing and was very pleased. Loved the title reminds me of "Full Clip". Premo got everyone that Guru has worked with in the past. Wish NaS could of made it. But M.O.P., Jeru, Royce, Big Shug, Group Home, Q-Tip and Talib. I mean damn.

For anyone saying, "Why is Ne-Yo on there". First Ne-Yo does have a dope voice, next Guru loved R&B which is why he worked with KC & JoJo on "Royalty" and Total on "Discipline". He also worked with Tons of R&B Artist on his "Jazzmatazz" Series including Angie Stone, Balil, Donell Jones, Erykah Badu etc. Can't wait, Mid-Night Cop Halloween Night. Cuz Gang Starr coming back got me shook. Wish they could of somehow got a Big L verse too. These songs came to mind when I saw the track-list as far as the sound I was hoping for: After "Family and Loyalty" and "Bad Name" I already like the direction of the album. I'm not a huge fan of Posthumous LP's but there's been a long gap since we last heard Guru I think this is gonna work. Can't wait for "Militia Part 4" too

Welp, since Guru was never really the dopest MC of his era and PREMO was the MAIN REASON those albums were top notch sounding i'd say this won't fail to please the ear. Can't disappoint if one of the GOAT producers is still alive and the reason the group flourished.

Not this bullshyt again Guru (who had an advanced 90s rap style in 1987) carried Premier until he stepped up on "Step to the Arena"

Gang Starr had classic records playing on the radio produced by DJ Mark the 45 King before Premier was even in the group

Guru's unique rap style and association with Mark made the group Premo became a monster producer obviously but this false narrative that Guru was some wack nikka who was only dope over Premier beats needs to die its not even a little bit true

never said he was wack but to say GURU was some lyrical genius in the 90's with the star studded lineup of his peers is a false narrative. No way in hell is GURU in anyone's top 20 from the 90s. Again, the guy was like Joe Flacco, a great game manager and knowing his pockets staying in his lane. After he tried hooking up with Solar, why was it that everyone stopped paying attention? GOD bless the dead but lets not hype up GURU like he was a legendary lyricist. He was dope enough to hold his own and ain't nothing wrong with that.
