His reason is stupid.

Lebron is the best scorer, passer, defender, playmaker, rebounder, and the primary offensive options on his team. He has far more responsibilities and he's the entire lynchpin to the Heat's positionless approach to basketball because his ability to fill in any gaps in the game.

Melo missed 15 games and is asked to do far less than Lebron. Lebron turns a 4th seeded team into the juggernaut of the league and championship favorites.

The very definition of the award has always been lose and storyline driven hence drose and Steve Nash winning .
