Gas or Electric Stove?

Finally bushed my electric stove and bought a portable butane stove, I don't think I'm ever going back. What do you all prefer cooking with?

Pans heat up in seconds now with much higher temperatures. I can control the heat better and can stir fry properly with a wok. Should've did this years ago. They gotta stop putting electric stoves in houses, trash.

How safe is this? Where do you store the butane and how do you refill?

They have fuel canisters you can buy. You pop them in and throw them away when they're empty.

Ok, I'm not gonna lie to you...all the boxes say to not use it indoors. But I use mine inside and most people do. The fuel cans themselves have safety valves and then the stoves come with multiple safety locks to prevent any leaks or changes in pressure. As long as you use it in a well ventilated area (like a kitchen should be) and not in a confined space, you should be straight.

Gas, phasing out for H.E. electric will be a mistake.

When I'm over the stove whipping I perfer gas, it helps everything lock up better:

Gas Stove and Gas Heat.

Stove cooks better and it can double as a heat if the electric ever goes out in the winter.


I drove way to Longview Texas for this antique heater. I painted it and it works great. I love the way the heat feels.

Breh…as far as using that thing indoors. You only need to get caught slippin once. I don’t think Butane is one of the explosions that gives superpowers yet

I use gas now. Our house back in the 2000s nearly burned down when the power went out while my mom was cooking.

Power came back on overnight and scorched the kitchen. I'm sure they have safety measures in now to prevent that.

Yeah I gotta get a 2nd one. Right now if I'm make a dish that requires multiple burners then I usually do the fast, high heat cooking on gas and then slower, lower heat items on electric
