Call of Duty is in essence an arena shooter that relies on first sight, first kill gameplay. There's no bearings on how weapons effect gameplay, how enemy positioning and weapon placement works thus eliminating the feel of cooperation/teamwork with your squad like Gears of War does.

Allow me to start by saying, I'm excited for Gears of War, it was my first online experience aside from Halo or Counter Strike back in the day.

But you saying Call of Duty has no bearings on how weapons effect gameplay, along with enemy placement NOT affecting gameplay is disgustingly inaccurate. You're correct about weapon placement because they don't have weapons you can pick up on maps.

But there are tons of people using the same primary weapon because of certain advantages they have, you could begin shooting someone first and because of their fire rate/damage dealt they could take you down regardless.

Enemy placement definitely plays a role, people base their entire approach on where the enemies will spawn... People spawn trap, etc.

If you're not simply playing Team Deathmatch on COD it's all teamwork/cooperation based gameplay... Capture the flag, Domination, etc. You're losing all those game modes with an uncoordinated squad.

Gears is by far the most skill demanding shooter on consoles. The gap between an elite player and a scrub is huge. It will take you a while to master stuff like wall bouncing, the gnasher, blind fire, special weapons etc. Halo is highly competitive and skill based as well. Controlling choke points and power weapon locations takes time and practice.

Is PS fanboy seriously trying to compare casual multiplayer trash like uncharted and last of us to gears and halo?

No one is checking multiplayer tournaments to see matches of TLOU or Uncharted

Sony is obviously not serious about competitive multiplayer shooters. If they were they would redesign the trash that is the dualshock.

Gears is a series that punishes you for doing your own thing. It's a series where coordination is key. Where positioning is key. Flanking and corner-crossing is the key of the game, and there isn't a single shooter that can emulate that feel properly.

if you're a bum yeah cuz i always run solo but on the flip when u match up against a team of nikkas who know what you're doing yeah yull probably lose the match but it won't be like you post some shyt like 3 kills 10 deaths...but it's also funny when good teams know you're the best on the other team and you're playing with randoms they'll gun for you
