anything to save money, ports for consoles

=

all these remakes and sequels on movies

They don't want to take a risk on innovation, when they already have a sure bet with nostalgia, or preexisting fanbase titles

It's not right, but it's bizness
This is beyond a fear of risk-taking. It's a cheap cash in selling people something they've already bought. Gears of War is already available in HD. It looks good enough.
I have no problem with. I have no real qualm with remasters. Some I want, some I don't.

Its just funny to see the faux outrage and hypocrisy over them.
The remakes that I want are the ones they won't do because it wouldn't be simply porting over a last generation game and slightly bumping up the resolution. The remakes I want are ones from the PS1 era where they'd have to make the entire game over from scratch because putting it in HD with PS1 level graphics wouldn't be acceptable.

coincidentally they seem reluctant to do those because it defeats the purpose of their cheap port cash-ins. Case and point Square will remake Final Fantasy X but won't do VII, VIII, or IX.

We don't need rehashs of last generation games people can still walk in a store and easily buy on hardware that's still readily available.

Gears is by far the most skill demanding shooter on consoles. The gap between an elite player and a scrub is huge. It will take you a while to master stuff like wall bouncing, the gnasher, blind fire, special weapons etc. Halo is highly competitive and skill based as well. Controlling choke points and power weapon locations takes time and practice.

Is PS fanboy seriously trying to compare casual multiplayer trash like uncharted and last of us to gears and halo? :mjlol:

No one is checking multiplayer tournaments to see matches of TLOU or Uncharted :russ:

Sony is obviously not serious about competitive multiplayer shooters. If they were they would redesign the trash that is the dualshock.
yea it is:mjcry:

it's Halo 1 and it's nto even close. It's so bad that these scrub s have been crying and complaining on 343's website about removing it from certain playlists on mcc. It's not the type of halo game that certain nikkas grew up on. Gears takes a lot of skill as well....but the mechanics, spawns, glitches and guns in h1 makes the metagame a whole other beast when compared to any other console shooter.

This game is ten years old and fans really want it. Its not the same as one of those games they just put in the last year or two, and then are already remastering it to try to get some extra sales.

Your friendly hood hypocrite at work I see.
In the thread about the alleged leak for an Uncharted triology remaster:

When asked if he'd cop a Gears remaster

Probably not. I'd want to play the multiplayer for nostalgia, but I couldn't see myself giving it too much attention.
Now that Gears remaster is actually true.... He's switchin the game up lol...

Actually, Gears of War 1 is not 10 years old, more like almost 9 years old. Also, Uncharted 1 would be 8 years old if released this year in a trilogy remaster.

but but but Uncharted 1 isn't something fans want because that's what I pulled out my arse. Why would someone want Uncharted 2 and 3 anyway on PS4?? You can buy a PS3 with those titles just like you can for Gears 1 wait...
