This is beyond a fear of risk-taking. It's a cheap cash in selling people something they've already bought. Gears of War is already available in HD. It looks good enough.anything to save money, ports for consoles

all these remakes and sequels on movies
They don't want to take a risk on innovation, when they already have a sure bet with nostalgia, or preexisting fanbase titles
It's not right, but it's bizness
The remakes that I want are the ones they won't do because it wouldn't be simply porting over a last generation game and slightly bumping up the resolution. The remakes I want are ones from the PS1 era where they'd have to make the entire game over from scratch because putting it in HD with PS1 level graphics wouldn't be acceptable.I have no problem with. I have no real qualm with remasters. Some I want, some I don't.
Its just funny to see the faux outrage and hypocrisy over them.
coincidentally they seem reluctant to do those because it defeats the purpose of their cheap port cash-ins. Case and point Square will remake Final Fantasy X but won't do VII, VIII, or IX.
We don't need rehashs of last generation games people can still walk in a store and easily buy on hardware that's still readily available.
