You forgot to mention hypothetically this remaster would most likely consist of UC3 and 3, both of which contains popular MP titles for the series and that would benefit tremendously from running on upgraded hardware as well as taking advantage of the PS4 social features(Shareplay, streaming, party chat etc.)
Gears of War 1 is easily playable right now, just pop the disc into your 360.

This is true. As great as UC2 (it's one of my fav. games last gen), no one is screaming for a remaster to play the multi online. Gears 1 was a revolution. I have nikkas on my friend list, nikkas I met and ran that game with back in 06...still playing it to this day...they never stopped playing it...for almost 10 years now...fukkin crazy

But the "topic" was the difference between the remakes. One is a remake, the other is just a slight HD upgrade. I know Halo 2 looks better, especially the limited amount of remade levels they made.
But why not show the BIGGEST difference, because what I showed off does if you keep the "topic" in context.

The original Halo 2 used in-game gfx for cutscenes...as a mastter of fact, every halo till 343 took over used in-game for cutscenes...so why are you trying to brag about fukking CGI and compare it to the in-game footage from the original halo 2? that's fukkin retarded....why not compare the updated in-game halo 2 gfx to the original?

This game is ten years old and fans really want it. Its not the same as one of those games they just put in the last year or two, and then are already remastering it to try to get some extra sales.

It's from the last console generation. They sold 80 something million Xbox 360s. If the fans wanna play this game they can on hardware with a far higher penetration rate than the Xbox One. In fact there's probably more copies of Gears of War that have already been sold out in the wild than there is total Xbox One users.

These game companies do underhanded tactics like this only because gamers not only let them but beg for it. We don't need remasters of Xbox 360 and PS3 games that are still available for purchase. Gears of War is still available right now on Amazon.com for under $20.

Being that the game is 10 years old there's xbox fans now who were children when the first one came out. With a gears reboot coming its very reasonable that they'd want to put one out on the new console to drum up interest.

Its the same as when they put out a new blu ray of the og Star Wars movies every time a new one is coming out.

To me that's very different then a situation like tomb raider or gta where the game just came out within the last couple years.
