I’m 31 and I remember my dad showing me one of those brick cell phones and having the same reaction. Of course they won’t be familiar with tech they’ve probably never used.

When I was a kid I knew what an 8-track was and by the time I was born in 83 they were displaced by cassettes. I'm surprised they don't know what a VHS is. I know you can't buy them but people still have VHS / DVD combos in their homes and people still have VHS movies.

Cant lie growing up in the social media era and being overflowed with information and general bs 24/7 must take its toll. I'm really happy that I grew up in the 90s, not only for nostalgic reasons but also because I feel it somehow was easier on the brains. Just by being less exposed to...everything.
