I don't buy his explanation.

To me, it seemed like laziness more than anything.

I don’t know because I never heard anyone outside of NYC playing album cuts of SDE and Come Home With Me but that damn Purple Haze was everywhere.

Makes no sense because I’m pretty sure CHWM sold more. Maybe everyone was just bootlegging Purple Haze and Killa Season.

although glimpses of it could be heard in purple haze, camron’s regression as a lyricist was obvious upon the release of killa season. the artist who once effortlessly floated over tracks became a barely comprehensible hack given to amateurish punchlines and a choppy flow.

not sure what happened. might have been the liquor and weed.
