It's thankless work aka someone's gotta do it.

But with that said, the main "problem" with trade work in this day and age is everyone is a specialist, which pigeon holds you to what you could potentially earn. There's a reason a lot of the old heads you and I know who work with their hands can do a little something of everything, even if it's just the bare essentials, which is why Latino IMMIGRANTS, get hired quicker then a breh or an american born latino and can do the exact same job for the cheap.

Another aspect is getting an apprenticeship which can have you waiting up to two years in some instances (not always thats just an exmaple) and then there's the fact that some of these old farts are not trying to retire out.

Then there's the reality is, depending on the trade of the physical toil it takes on your body.

I'm not trying to steer nobody from tradework, just like I wouldn't for a breh who wants to go to college or the military, I just rather young brehs not going into the shyt starry eyed. I personally don't regret working as a contractor, but it ain't all lunchpails and cracking beers at happy hour.


and anybody saying they're earning $75,000 or more right out the gate, is flat out full of shyt, whether blue state or not.

These kids too soft for that. My gen (millennial) the last gen that had it and ran with it.

That first day doing roofing in August for 10 hours will make some of the “gulliest” fold

I looked at that list. I've never worked with a boilermaker in my life. Lol

Bruh guys out here will hit it hard for 9 months out the year and then take 3 months off and they do that yearly, a lot of guys do actually. Unemployed electricians rn is a joke everyone I know is working. Every company has referral programs to scalp people. It's a feast out here rn.

I'm just realizing something if people aren't buying homes and doing more renting property rental and management have their own in house maintenance. So independent plumbers and electricians wont have a lot of work

Yep. These property owners who rent out their properties usually have contracts with the local big name companies. Most of the independent guys get their business from actual homeowners, especially nowadays where folks are looking for the best deals.

We have... many different times. Nobody seems to be listening though because I still see post like this all the time so why keep repeating ourselves.
