Even before gene said this this was known even quik spoke about it that he got questioned over biggies murder ….. story goes quik n biggie/badboy crew got into a heated argument or some type ov thing inside the vibe party not sure what over but I did hear quik comment that the “ muthafukkas shouldn’t have been out here “ in regards to biggie been killed. Obviously now present time he will argue he never said that or wasn’t Trppin about badboy been in l.a but it seems to me about 80% ov the west were feeling some way about badboy been in l.a and how they were moving … quik is piru aswell so he might have heard though the graveine that something was gona happen to someone from badboy ….
Yeah it was the stupidest thing to do to be fair seems everyone and there mama warned big and puffy not to go there it’s too soon but still they felt good …. I dno if zip or south side crips or puffy thinking him and snoop been on Steve Harvey handling it made them feel good … I think they were under the impression that the west will just have to get over it n accepted them …. puffy knows suge n his people did that that’s why he won’t ever speak suges name n why he was scared to death ov him for all them years suge himself wasn’t the boogie man but he had the bottle do flex his power which scared puffy I do feel bad for biggie he kinda became some type ov damage control and the way he died the pain the shot that killed him slowly ripped though pretty much all his organs …. Horrible way to go …. I always wonder would badboy gone to the west had suge not been sent to prison …. Most likely not to much hassle for them having to keep alert …. Badboy should have waited a cool few years til shyt had died downI never understood why this is even an issue. He probably did say it, but so what? Who the fukk out on the west coast wasn't thinking or saying the same exact shyt when Big got killed?
For unnecessary reasons, somebody blurting out some shyt that popped in their head gets twisted into Quik knowing the ins and outs or being involved in Biggie's murder.
I always thought his last verse on "You'z A Ganxstsa" addressed the whole situation perfectly. (And was funny as hell to boot, lol).

O Gene was doing the entertainment thing for a while. He started doing security in high school he says and tried dj'ing and promotion. Even mention 2 companies he was associated with.
Hmm. A bodyguard-security, attempted dj/ producer and promoter. Sound like some Suge Knight x Charlie Mack esque shyt.
Then he also started a gang and spy network called Same Gang and rolled with Slick n the Family and 112th street Posse crews.

I might not believe everything gene says but 1 thing I do think is puffy and biggie we’re not as tight as puffy would have fans think …. I Mean the nikka left l.a 3 hours literally 3 hours after big was shot said fukk everyone else am out left junior mafia n them behind puffy the fact that puffy doesn’t acknowledge til this day how much danger they were in shows his ignorance

That's cuz Puff wasnt worried about anything happening to himself. It ain't ignorance he just knew The Game.
And he flew to San Diego of all places, not even out of Cali. That should further demonstrate he wasnt shook.
The real question is why San Diego and who did he go see out there?

He was shook but he was in LA a whole month before Biggie got killed recording No Way Out. And him and Gene were out and about in LA during that time (according to Gene own words) but Puffy was shook...

Puff himself says Big didn't want to go to London, and he now feels bad not pushing Big about it.
Puff fleeing out of L.A. I think Puff didn't even decide that himself. Puff had a crazy deal with Arista, and also dominated the charts. I wouldn't be surprised people higher up demanded he left L.A. I watched numerous of interviews with Lil Cease, Lil Kim, C Gutta etc etc.. All say the same... They (also Big) could strangle Puff at times, but their relationship was there. I also think you see it, in the way Puff is still close with D-Roc for instance.

Clarence Avant aka The Black Godfather (go watch his documentary) is the person who arranged and got Puff back to NY that night.
Puff and everybody associated was shook after Biggie got shot.
They flew out of San Diego to not be obvious. They literally couldn't trust anybody in LA, much less California.

Puffy was scared to death for years after biggie got killed cause he knew which direction that it came from and he knew he was close to getting killed himself he got lucky ….there is a reason he never stepped foot in l.a to promote his own album the year later he went everywhere but l.a ….
