You don't leave your entire label, entourage, "friends", coworkers, and grieving family members to deal with the extreme trauma of the sudden drive-by murder of one of the biggest musicians in the country unless you're scared sh*tless that you're next to get clapped. Or unless you're a selfish greedy leech with some sociopathic tendencies.

But being that it's:takedat: we're talking about here it's obviously both.

They were. Not best friends, but definitely close.

Ehh, when you look at it with older eyes, they were still boss and employee. The trust only went so far because it was a working relationship. Diddy was super controlling at the time with a HUGE ego and annoying.

Even more evident when you see that Junior Mafia/Lil Kim signed elsewhere. That and Big kept it quiet that he was writing all their raps due to now owning his publishing.

Don't let "I'll Be Missing You" make you think it was more than it was. It was majority business.

Exactly. Big was on his way to becoming very successful away from Puff. He had the ear, he knew how to cultivate a persona, he had his own acts that he could help write for. He even had a supergroup in the works he was going to end up clashing with Puff and trying to get out of his deal.

Poochie never gets mentioned, and he barely talks about Suge.
Vlad let the man talk this time....

Gene basically implicates that Puff had something to do with the hit or at least knew about it....

I think Gene is being honest about the events that took place but Gene has implied so many things as to who was actually responsible for the murder that he has no credibility on that part IMO. How are you gonna say it was dirty cops at Death Row, Nation of Islam ppl, AND Puff and D-Roc knew about it or were involved? All these things can’t be true at the same time. And he totally ignores that Death Row had real killers from the street on the payroll. Why would they use cops instead of them?

The one thing Gene always says that I think is straight up bullshyt is he claims Puffy once made the comment “I don’t care if Pac gotta die, I don’t care if Big gotta die, and I don’t care if Suge gotta go to jail.” It’s just coincidence that Puff said exactly what happened like he’s Nostradamus? Why the fukk would Puff specifically say “go to jail” about Suge? And why the fukk would he not care about Big dying? Makes no sense and I think he throws that in there as a clickbait soundbite for his video.

THIS. Gene Deal has a personal issue with Puff, and it clouds his mind.
Next to this, all the things he blames puff for, he was also there. And he stayed till the late 90's.

I think when reflecting from the Bad Boy side, and also looking at puff from a neutral stand point you have to listen to Lil Cease. I think he is telling it like it is from their side.
