Yes the controlled opposition dems suck at messaging. Cause if they didnt over the year leading up to the election they would’ve been screaming from the mountain tops that trump was a felon conman nazi dictator that would destroy democracy and was only interested in benefiting the rich and wanted to cut poor peoples snap and Medicaid and housing benefits and roll back all types of progress of the last 60 years.

Sulla showed romans a pathway and example to exploit the system which future dictators would mirror. He shifted the Overton window just like Trump has, but there are a lot more obstacles one has to tackle in a modern age. Imagine if a few senators had several legions of soldiers and were military commanders, that just isn't possible today in modern times. Sulla had bands of thugs to intimidate voters etc. In a way Caesar followed his path but Caesar in many respects was actually a real populist, in his will he actually gifted every roman citizen like 500 denarii upon his death but senators were very afraid of his power. Then Augustus followed Caesar as the first Emperor, so the senate completely failed to stop dictatorial rule. Someone could certainly follow Trump's type of gameplan and if they're far more intelligent and capable it could be scary, but they definitely face way more roadblocks than Sulla, Caesar, Pompey, Augustus etc.

yea, military regularly buck regulations & guidelines. Military controllers come to the civilian side and not all of them succeed. The expectations and standards of 'regular' air traffic controllers are much higher than your average military facility. Military controllers probably encounter way more dangerous / close call situations but it's because of all the pilots training. And encountering more dangerous situations does not necessarily mean you handled it well.
