The problem isn't that Dems run on "trannys, gays, and social issues" it's that Republicans do and will do so regardless of what Dems say.

And anyway, whether you're willing to admit it or not many people care more about culture wars than the economy. Why do you think most white people (and many others) feel they relate more to Trump (a rich billionaire who has lived a life of extreme privilege) than someone like Kamala who was raised middle class? It's not because of issues with her economic policy.
Kamala was one of if not the most unpopular Vice President of all time. She last time she went through a real primary fukking Tulsi Gabbard knocked her block off in the first damn debate.

She didn’t even talk about her economic policy or any policies at all. She mentioned the cost of goods being high one time early in her campaign and then never mentioned it again while Trump is running around saying groceries are too expensive and that he was going to lower them.

It's not untrue. I wish it was, but it's not. There have been many academic studies on the subject.

Top issues during exit polling were Economy and Immigration, the real eye opener is American voters don’t give a flying fukk about social issues. Roe v Wade and women’s rights didn’t even move the damn needle. All they care about is how much things cost & their own bank account

This isn't true, Kamala talked about the economy plenty.

And you even had many economists (in fact, almost every economist) saying her economic plan was 'vastly" better than Trump's - https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/23/politics/nobel-prize-economists-harris-economic-plan/index.html

And yet none of that mattered. Sure, Trump is more willing to just lie but I can't blame Kamala for that.

Of course inflation was a factor, but academic studies>polls when it comes to this stuff since people won't say things they feel aren't socially acceptable.

Almost EVERY economist said Kamala was much better for the economy, and obviously starting trade wars with our (former) allies would be be terrible for the economy. So I have to think most people claiming to support Trump because of the economy are either extremely stupid or dishonest about their motives. I lean toward the latter because I don't think most people are that dumb.

Nobody is denying that inflation sucks and hurts the ruling party, but I'm not sure how it's fair to blame Kamala or Biden for a worldwide issue that was due to COVID. I don't know of anything Biden could've done that would've prevented there from being inflation.
